Milani - Hi-tech
Hi guys, So sorry about not posting these days, I had a fun day with my cousin on Sunday so I kinda neglected the blog, and today I was overwelmed with stuff to do for work, and my taxes, and appartement hunting again.
But hey I made some time before bed to show you I didn't forget you.
A small reminder also that my giveaway ends in two days, so if you haven't entered yet go ahead and do so. The details are on the side bar.
On to my polish of the day, that's a Milani green holo, that has been waiting in my untrieds since like forever, and I really don't know why, because this one is a great one.
I applied 3 coats, on top of normal base coat, and had no trouble with the application. I think I could have gotten away with two coats, but I just felt it needed a third one.
I also did a comparison with China glaze Tronica Laser Lime.
And bonus my first video ever!! It's of the comparison. The index and the ring are China Glaze and the middle is Milani, just because I thought the photos did not reflect the true difference between these two.
Here are the photos:

Essence twins - Bella & Edward
These are a pair of the Essence twins I bought in Lausanne last week. I love the idea, and they looked like fun, so I bought too.
So how do these work: there's a base color, a cream, and on top you add the glitter. I have the twilight version to show you today, as I am sure you have noticed the names of these two polishes.
The cream is a turquoise polish that I love, the formula on these ones is a lot better than their regular collection, that I can find at Auchan, the brush is better too. I applied two coats of Bella, but this is definitely a one coatter.
On top I applied two more coats of the glitter and this is how it came out:

Problems - Follower button
Hi, just wanted to let you guys know, that blogger is having some problems, and that's why you can't find the follower button. But there's a follower button on top of the page provided by blogger, so you can just push that one.
So I know that you must have problems to enter my giveaway. I hope it will be up and running soon, but I really can't do anything about it.
Kisses & Hugs

Zoya - Kieko
Zoya Kieko is the other cream polish I chose to buy from the summer collection.
It's a lighter purple than Zoya Mira, but the formula is exactely the same, it's perfect!
I had Zoya Faye planned for you today, but my computer had a melt down, and the photos were waiting on the desktop, I think I might have to reinstall Windows.
Anyways I love this shade and I am super happy that I bought it. I don't have much time lately to update my blog, or to do my nails, I am super busy with work, tomorrow I have to do my taxes because, Monday is the deadline on that, so super busy weekend coming up.
This is 2 coats - sorry about the crappy pictures and the crappy application - I was doing my nails while talking to my boss on the phone, so it was a bit on the gogo.

Zoya - Tanzy
Ok, that's a funny name Tanzy! To me it is anyway.
This Zoya is an orange foil from their summer collection. It is just packed with Orange shimmer.
I loved the application and the formula it is a bit thick but to me that's ok, because that way it doesn't droop when I apply it, I like to nicely pack my brush with polish when I do my nails.
I love the polish and everything about it, but I don't find it that flattering on me.
Yesterday I went out with my cousin, and I passed by the kiko store, and they were having a sale on polishes, everything at 2.5€, so I bought a few.
Ok back to our Tanzy, I applied a design from my BM201 plate, and I really liked the way it came out.
The polish is special Konad polish.
Here are the photos, a bit crappy I know, but I don't seem to get enough light these days. I think I might have to invest in a lamp.

Pink Wednesday - Misa Summer Love
And it's Wednesday again!! You know what that means!!
Last Wednesday I showed you China Glaze 108 Degrees from the Island Escape collection, and mentioned that I had Misa Summer love which was very close to it, so today I will show you the Misa, and a little comparison, and you can tell me what you think.
This is a red jelly with dense pink shimmer in it. It was quite sheer, so I had to do 3 coats, and after that still had visible nail line, but you know me, I never go beyond 3 coats I am just too lazy.
It was really liquid, so when I put on my top coat it kind of shrinked at the tip, so it looks like I have tip wear, but I don't.
I found that the Misa was a bit more sheer than the CG, but the final look is almost the same from my point of view. Here are the photos:

Flormar 356
Since it's been a long time since I've done a nude polish, I thought I'd present to you this flormar, it's a mellow polish with a twist.
It's a sheer nude polish with a white shimmer inside. It's pretty, but I am not a fan of work appropriate colors.
Since it was so boring I added a coat of silver shatter - my favourite shatter ever.
This was three coats, still had VNL but I am not going to add a thousand coats untill I get opacity so I just stopped there. I never do more than 3 coats.
I don't have much time so this is a short one:

My Best of Monday - My Best of creams
Hello people!!
I had a suggestion in my suggestion colomn for the giveaway, someone told me to do posts on best products. So from now on I will start Best of Monday - what does this mean? It means that each monday I will make a top ten of something and give the reasons and direct you to the swatches or if there are none do one.
I will start off by saying that this is my best of, and that concearns only the products that I have already tried. So this does not mean that I am excluding products that I haven't tried, just making a top ten of what I've already tested.
So here we go - I hope this will be to your liking and hope to hear your opinion on it - feedback is important to me - I value your opinion.
The criteria I took into consideration in making this top ten are: color match with my skin tone(white as flour), application, formula, number of coats needed for opacity, price, wear and of corse shine.
10. Pink - American Apparel - Coney Island - here is the review. I placed this last because I had serious tip wear within a day and it was quite pricey.
9. Lilac - China Glaze - Agent Lavender - This barely didn't make the list but hey here it is. I had some trouble applying it and that's why it's on the 9th place.
8. Green -OPI - Greenwich Village - here is the review. This one is great - the price is what it is and it's a bit sheer
7. Orange - China Glaze - Life preserver - the review is here and this is definitelly one of my favourite polishes ever - but the tip wear was visible after a day and I really hate their brushes.
6. Grey - Mavala - Mauve Cendré - you can find the review here. This one is quite a good polish, but the colour doesn't really suit me and the bottles are small, and implicitely the handle on the brush which makes application a bit difficult. But otherwise these are wonderfull polishes. These retail for 5€ 5 ml, so they are pretty expensive.
5. Blue - Dior - Nirvana - the review is located here - The polish is perfect but the no 5 is justified by the price - 21€ and the brush is not quite perfect.
4. Electric blue - Kiko 294 - here is the review - this polish has almost got it all: the price is pretty decent 4€ - the quantity is ok too, even the brush is fine - but I hate the fact that they don't name their polishes.
3. Red - Zoya - Sooki - the review is here. This is one of the best reds ever and I must say I am won over.
2. Dusty pinkish white - Orly Pure Porcelaine - the review is here - and I really loved this polish it's the ultimate wedding color, and very work appropriate but still original - have not seen anything like it. It is kind of pricey but the bottles are huge so I guess this compensates.
And drum roll no 1. is - Misa - Dirty sexy money - the review is here - This has got it all - price is not high, the finish is super glossy, and you only need like one coat so even for the laziest ones of you out there it's perfect, the colour is gorgeous, and drying time is faboulous. And I even love the name. Oh and the bottles are square - so no space is wasted in my stash.
