Essie - Where's my chauffeur

Hello my dears!!
I know I am really bad at doing regular posts, but I just can't find the time anymore. With all the work, and the Christmas shopping I have really had time for nothing. We also went on a little trip to London, this weekend, saw some friends, did some shopping, as some of you who follow me on Instagram have already seen.

This is a little Essie I picked up at Monoprix, it is part of the holliday collection" Leading Lady". I love the color, it is so pretty, I'm not sure how this is a winter color, but hey I wear what I want not what I'm supposed to.

It is a turquoise cream, that applies pretty good and is opaque in two coats. This is the Europeean version of Essie, with the wide brush, and name on the top of the cap.

I know it looks a little beat up on my nails, but that's because I have been wearing it for 3 days, and it has been through a lot, but as you can see no chips.

This looks a lot like China Glaze For Audrey and Dior St. Tropez, so I did a little comparison for you: China Glaze on the index finger, Dior on the middle finger, and on the rest the Essie.

CG - For Audrey is a little lighter, so not really an exact dupe, and Dior is a bit darker, but just a hint, so if you already have one of these, I don't really see the point in buying the others. But they are all super pretty, and good quality nail polish ranging from 3$ to 21€. Your choice.

Red glitter gradient

Hey everyone!!
I am so so so so so sorryyyyyyyy, I haven't really had time to take care of this little blog, I am really swamped right now, have been traveling a lot for work, and when I am home I am working, going to the gym and being sick  haha!!

So this is my series of Christmas manis. Starting with a red and blue gradient, I know it's dark blue, it's not black. I started with applying two coats of Dior blue Label and continued with a red glitter gradient. The gradient was done according with my gradient tutorial.

The red glitter is the Milani one coat glitter red sparkle.
Hope you like it. I'm sorry still have no time

Gold Gradient

Hello everyone!
Hope your day is going well. I am hoping to get rid of some nail polish, to only keep my favourites, and do some nailart posts rather then just swatches. But I will still do swatches whenever I get new nail polish.

Today's post is a gradient I did using as a base Orly's Ola, and on top Milani Gold Glitz.

I love the base color, corals, oranges and other combinations of the two are really my favourite colors for nail polish. This Milani is one of the one coat glitters. I love the way they look together hope you like it too.

Butter London - Disco Biscuit

As some of you who follow me on IG have seen, I only have one Butter London, that Carolina sent me from the states, because we can't find these polishes in France.

I love everything about these polishes!! I am totally in love! The shape of the bottles is to die for, the brush is great, the formula is excellent, and so on.

The color I chose is a red to fuchsia jelly with little blue sparkles. The color on its own needs about 4 coats to get it opaque, so I decided to apply it over a similar pink cream - Kiko 313. I applied one coat of the Kiko, and on top of that one coat of Disco Biscuit. This polish needs topcoat, since it dries a bit gritty.

It lasted very well on me for like 4 days, no chips. It lasted 4 days, because I decided to take it off, cause you know me I get bored, not because it chipped.

Jail bars

Hello people!!
Yet another day in the life of a polish freak. I am going through my favourite polishes at the moment, and wearing them with a lot of pleasure.I am now wearing my favourite dark burgundy Zoya Anja, a very good formula, and gorgeous color, almost a one coater.

I applied on my middle finger a coat of Kleancolor Salsa much, and then stamped a design from my Bundle Monster plate BM 209 with Kiko 400.

I think it came out pretty ok, but not impressive.
Anyway here are the photos, hope you like it: Sorry for the crappy hand pose, this is my right hand which normally takes the photos, but since on my left hand I messed up the design......

Golden day

I have decided to stop buying nail polish, unless it is really a color I don't own. I have already reduced my polish purchases a looooot. I am also thinking of having a blog sale, in order to purge some of the polishes, because let's face it I can't honestly use up 500 bottles of nail polish in a lifetime. So why not pass them along to somebody else, who will get more use out of them than me.

So let me know if a blog sale would be of any interest to you. I will do an international one.

Also since I have no new polishes to show you, today's post is a revisit with an old friend - Essie Playa del Platinum, and a small nail art I did ( that is if you can call it nail art).

I really love this nude. I rarely wear them, but this one looks great on small nails. I had to cut them down, because they started peeling again, and then breaking.

The accent nail is China Glaze I'm not lion, and the stamping is done with Dior Timeless Gold and my Konad stamping plate n°M78. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Kiko 401

This is one of the polishes from the holographic collection that you all probably  have already seen, but it is so pretty so I'm going to show it to you too.

It is a I would say turquoise holo polish. I had no problems on the application, works very well with a regular base coat, and it becomes opaque in two coats. Goes on smoothly on the nail, and it is very easy to apply.

It is a linear holo, that's even visible in dim light. I love it!! And I totally think it is worth the 5€.
If you can still find it in shops, I think this is a must have. Very cheap and good quality holo.

Sally Hansen - Very Cherry

This one was in a swap I did with Carolina - who by the way posted a message on Facebook yesterday saying that they are preparing for hurricane Sandy, so I am thinking about her and her family!! Be safe!!

The polish is a small red to pink flakie polish in a kind of a jelly base. I applied two coats of this polish, and it wasn't quite opaque, but it was very close to it. I couldn't be bothered to do a third coat anyway.

This was very pretty, and the application was ok, formula generally ok. Couldn't tell you about how long it lasted because I only kept it for like 2 days on my finger nails.

So these are the photos:

Orly Fowl Play & Gradient

This one is another polish I didn't take pictures of when I swatched it, and had to redo the swatch and this time remember to take pictures.

I have heard that this polish is a dupe for OPI Merry Midnight, but since I don't own that one I can't do a comp. But here is one that Jessica from Polish Insomniac did. I think they are one and the same polish.

I love them both and when I saw this coming out I knew I had to have it, since Merry Midnight is no longer produced.

It is a jelly dark purple polish, with lots of duochrome flakies of different sizes, and I see some blue glitter in there too. I really like it, I did 3 coats of it to get it opaque, but I could have stoped at two. The formula is great, easy to apply easy enough to remove. It does shrink a bit with Seche, but what polish doesn't.

I did a gradient too, I started with KIKO n° 303, and after that Essence Time for romance. I love the way it turned out:

OPI - Brand new skates

Hey you guys!!
Sorry for the lack of posts. I was away on a long weekend in Milan. I loved it there. Good pasta, good pizza, good coffee, and good friends.

I do have a new nailpolish for you today. It is the well known Brand new skates, and I really love it. I actually already swatched this but I forgot to take pictures.

This is a pretty gray foil nailpolish, with this different coloured shimmer. It is a bit on the sheer side, so I applied 3 coats, andI still had some VNL, but what can I do?? How many coats can a woman do.

This is the same formula that OPI has accustomed us to.

Have a look:

KIKO 373

This is my favourite, from the 3 KIKOs I bought last.
It is a beautiful brown cream, with copper shimmer. It's so very pretty, and I find it to be a very good autumn color. This one also got a huge reaction on Instagram, everybody liked it. My IG id is uneruxiaparis, if it is of any interest to any of you.

It went on smoothly like all the other Kiko polishes I own, and was opaque in two coats. The shimmer is very visible, even in the shade, so no need for sunlight.

This lasted me about 4 days with no chips, and no major tipwear, and only because I took it off, because you know me I get bored.Oh and I had to phile my nails down, they started to exfoliate.

*I forgot to tell you that I was told that this looked very much like OPI - Wooden Shoe Like To Know? but unfortunately I do not own that one, so I can't make a comparison for you. I do have a Mavala that resembles though, but I will have to compare these in another post. I don't think they're dupes. Here is a link to the Mavala post

Here are the photos, hope you enjoy!

KIKO 390 1 Kleancolor 197

Hello my pretties!!
As you may have seen in my IG post from yesterday I had a green polish on my nails some days ago. Well that polish was KIKO 390, that I picked up at their store a while ago.

It is a green polish, with white frost in it, but very subtle, it isn't the ugly type. I really liked it in the bottle, and on my nails, it was a bit bla, because my skin tone does not appreciate all green nailpolish.

This one is a good formula, it was opaque in two coats, and the color went on smoothly. But all kikos have good formula, we've all noticed that.

I added a coat of Kleancolor 197 which is a holo, and burgundy glitter, in a small round shape. I reall didn't think much of this one at the begining, but I noticed that it goes well on most colors, and I am starting to love it, but the thing with these polishes is the odour. It stincks.
