Clinique - Happy

I'm back, sort of!! Sorry for the lack of posts, I got really caught up with my new job, and lots of other things, addapting to my new schedual, and some small health problems. Anyway, I haven't forgotten about you guys, and I missed posting very much.

I am presenting you today the new Clinique polishes, or not so new for some of you. They came out with an all new range of polishes, very pretty shades, apparently for sensitive skin. Don't know how that works, but I don't care I don't have sensitive skin, and all the colors are pretty girly, and gorgeous. They are having a promo now in Sephora - for each two Clinique polishes that you buy they offer you the base coat free. So obviously I couldn't resist!!

So onto the polish itself, it is a bright coral red cream, and I think this one is the one that attracted me most. The bottles are round, and have nothing written on them, but nothing I mean nothing. You just have a small label on the bottom, where you can see the name and the number, in very small writing. The cap has Clinique written on it.

The brush was not exceptional, not on the base coat, not on the polish. The bristles are not all the same length, and I for one am very bothered by that, I had to cut them with my scissors.

The formula is great, it is opaque in one coat, and goes on pretty smoothly. As for wear I couldn't tell you I just put it on yesterday.

Ciaté Caviar mini bar review

Hello everyone!!
Sorry for my abcence I was on a small vacation in Barcelona, had to get some sun, since in Paris we haven't seen it for like two months. Had good times, with good friends, and good food. It was lovely!

So I bought this caviar mini bar in Sephora like a month ago but it took me a while to get this review done, cause I had other priorities on the blog list.

This is 22€ in Sephora, and you get 4 polishes and 4 bottles of those little pearls and a funnel I guess to put your pearls back in the bottle once you are done with them.Here is what the box looks like from the outside. I like it I am a sucker for nice packaging.

This is what it contains: 4 nail polishes - from left to right: - Knickerbockerglory, Pom Pom, fit for a queen and Sand Dune and underneath 4 pearl bottles - from left to right - Prom Queen, Jubilee, Hologram, Candyshop.

Aren't the bottles cute with the little bows?? I love them so much. The other two polishes I haven't tried yet, but I will.

How does it work ??? Well you apply your base, then a coat of polish, and the second one, and you can't let this last one dry - at this moment you pour the pearls directly from the bottle onto your nail, and you will see them stick to it. If you have patches that are still empty, just take some pearls on your finger and press them on your nail yourself. After this you press gently all the pearls on the nail, and wrap your tips in top coat. Just the tips because if you wrap everything, it look kind of nasty.

It is not a long lasting mani, mine did not even make it through one day. The beads fall off if they rubb against something. And it is a bit weird and uncomfortable. But it is fun.

For removal just use a cotton pad, and soack you nail for a bit, and then wipe off the nailpolish with the beads. It is a bit messy so do it over something.

This is Knickerbockerglory ( What a name!!)

 This one is a Coral creme - application is great and it only took two coats to get it opaque.

This is Pom Pom

 This one is more of an orange coral, but the formula is the same as on the previous one.
I tried them without the beads and it is very longlasting. Love these!

And this is Pom Pom with Jubilee.

I found it looked better in real life than in these pictures, can't really say why.
I kinda like the look, but I think that it is not worth the effort, because it doesn't last for long. Hope you enjoy!

Gold Gradient

Hello everyone!
Hope your day is going well. I am hoping to get rid of some nail polish, to only keep my favourites, and do some nailart posts rather then just swatches. But I will still do swatches whenever I get new nail polish.

Today's post is a gradient I did using as a base Orly's Ola, and on top Milani Gold Glitz.

I love the base color, corals, oranges and other combinations of the two are really my favourite colors for nail polish. This Milani is one of the one coat glitters. I love the way they look together hope you like it too.

H&M Juicy Peach cloud mani

Hey hello,
I've been so busy lately haven't had any time for anything. Ok so today I have this peachy nailpolish for you.
It came in a package with 2 other polishes, one of them being the blue one you saw in my previous post.

This is a cream orange red polish, that becomes opaque in 2 coats. I really liked it, but I scratches very easily.

I am so sleepy I can't even think of what to write.
So I applied this and saw a tutorial on how to make a cloud mani on Jane's blog, and I thought to myself : That doesn't look so hard! You can do it Ruxi! So I did.
I guess it doesn't looks so professional as other blogger's, but I'm pretty happy with the result, considering, I have no nail art experience.

I used two Essie polishes for the clouds, the off white one is Absolutely shore, and the gray one is Chinchilly. And on top I added a coat of Seche Vite. If anyone is interesed I could do a tutorial of my own of this mani.

Dior Lucky

Hey everyone!
I haven't been posting because I have had a busy week. And I didn't have time to do my nails.
But I did purchase this Dior polish last weekend, and I love it! It's the perfect coral.
It is part of the Dior addict collection, along with three other shades I didn't see the need to buy.

The application is just like all the other Diors. The color is a pink coraly red, with the usual very subtle fine silver shimmer that Dior has acustomed us to.
These are very pigmented, just like the associated lipstick line, so one coat is enough. 

I loved the color, so much that I think I will be wearing it again. My camera had an alergic reaction to it, and didn't catch the coral in it. So the true color is actually the second picture.

Dior Lucky, W'n'W - Dream Poppy, W'n'W -Blazed, Orly -Ole, Kiko -281

I tried to find a dupe in my collection but I don't own one. I have it lined up with some of the polishes that I think most resembles it. 

Pink Wednesday - Essie - Olé Caliente

Sooooo, I guess this was my second pick from the Navigate her collection, and I must say I am not sorry, even though I already have like two thousand other colors like this.

Oky doky. I am a polish nerd. This is a cream bright, orangy coral, almost neon, but it does not have that neon finish. Although my camera kind of acted like it was photographing a neon, because you can see how tan my fingers look, even though I am white like flour.

The formula on this one was much better than on Navigate her- remember I said that that one was a bit runny- well this one was just thick enough. Two coats was perfect.

On top I applied the flaky wonder that is Essie Shine of times from the Luxe Effects collection.
I am going to say just this about this polish: Buy it!!!! Buy it now!!

It is packed with flakies, one coat is enough to get all the flakies that you want, the consistancy is just right, and very easy to work with. It's perfection in a bottle.

As I looked at my mani today I found that it reminded me of something, and I took out my Touring America collection, and found a stricking resemblance between Essie your hut or mine, and OPI - My address is Hollywood

So what do you think? I find them to be very similar, the shimmer is a bit different, but from a small distance you can't even tell. In the OPI there is more of a golden shimmer, and in the Essie more pink shimmer. But overall if you want one of these, there's no sense in buying them both.

In this picture the difference is more obvious but on the nails not so much.

Orly OLA + Essence Edward

We went to Marseille this weekend, to attend the wedding of a friend of my husbands.
And this polish is what I wore for 3 days.
It's a coral cream polish, very lovely color, corals are one of my favourites. Application was effortless, and the formula is excellent as on all the Orlys I've tried.
Two coats was enough for complete opacity, and today I thought about adding a coat of glitter to it and this Essence seemed perfect.
One coat of the glitter did the trick, I think it came out pretty good. What do you think?

Wet'n' Wild Blazed

My first ever Wet'n'Wild nail polish ever!! And it is thanx to Carolina again!!
I love the shape of the bottles, they are so pretty.
This one is a beautiful Peachy cream nail polish. It was opaque in two coats, and the formula is great. And I think these are quite cheap in the states, because these can not be found in Europe, I've found some sites that do deliver in Europe, but they are not always stocked with the most recent collections.
Wet'n'Wild also makes make up - I've actually bought 3 sets of eye shadow and they are really cheap - 3$ a piece, and they are great quality products. I bought mine on this site www.nonpareilboutique.com
I added a coat of red Shatter from OPI over this.
And bonus : OPI white Shatter over Dior Aloha.
