OPI ski teal we drop & Save me

Back when I thought I would never be able to find OPI elsewhere but Sephora at a wopping price of 14€, I placed a panic order on Transdesign, buying some of the oldies but goodies. Ski teal we drop is amongst them.

It's a dark teal almost green blue creamm
I found it a bit hard to apply, I don't know if the brush was a bit wonky, or the formula a bit thick, I tend to blame it on the brush, althoug OPI has never let me down brushwise until now.

Anywhoo, after I finally applied two coats, I loved the color!!!
It's opaque in two coats, and the color is very rich.

I am actually really into accent nails, so I used OPI Save me, from the Nicki Minaj collection - the only one I purchased from that collection.

Hope you like it, by the way my nails are exfoliating like crazy, don't know what's wrong, so I trimmed them down. But my cuticules are doing better.

Nubar - Gem

Still having a lot a lot of work so this will be a short one.
This is part of the Prism collection, and it is a brown shimmer with lots of small holo glitter.
I had wanted this for a long time and I knew why, because it's gorgeous!

I applied three coats, because it is a bit on the sheer side. It is very resistant, I am still wearing it today, after almost 5 days I think, and I only have two chips, because I did a lot of work on the appartement on the weekend, and because my nails have exfoliated at those exact places.

Here are the photos:

Dior Lucky

Hey everyone!
I haven't been posting because I have had a busy week. And I didn't have time to do my nails.
But I did purchase this Dior polish last weekend, and I love it! It's the perfect coral.
It is part of the Dior addict collection, along with three other shades I didn't see the need to buy.

The application is just like all the other Diors. The color is a pink coraly red, with the usual very subtle fine silver shimmer that Dior has acustomed us to.
These are very pigmented, just like the associated lipstick line, so one coat is enough.

I loved the color, so much that I think I will be wearing it again. My camera had an alergic reaction to it, and didn't catch the coral in it. So the true color is actually the second picture.

You can really spot the fine shimmer in this picture

Dior Lucky, W'n'W - Dream Poppy, W'n'W -Blazed, Orly -Ole, Kiko -281
I tried to find a dupe in my collection but I don't own one. I have it lined up with some of the polishes that I think most resembles it.

I have no idea what name this has

I bought this in a blog sale, and I don't remember the name of this one, and there is no name on the bottle either.

This is a peachy orangy holo, part of the Nail Prisms collection. I love this polish!! LOVE!
It's such good quality. It worked very well on normal base coat, and I only had to apply 2 coats to get it opaque. There were no dragging issues, no bald spots. Application was a dream. The polish is a bit runny, but nothing one can't handle.

I got some sun today and was able to capture the beauty of this nail polish.

I applied a coat of  OPI - Teenage Dream on top. I think it looks ok. But I think it would have looked better with only an accent nail.
*UPDATE - Danielle the blogger I bought this from tells me the name is Pink Blush

Revlon - Whimsical over Essie- Borrowed&Blue

This is one of the polishes I won in the giveaway organised by Carolina and I loved it!
Thank you again Carolina! Hugs!

I started with two coats of Essie -Borrowed&Blue, which I found a bit watery, a bit too much. Then completed with two coats of Whimsical.

Whimsical is a sheer light blue jelly base, with hex glitter in blue and pink I think, and some holo small round glitter.

It needed two coats to get some glitter on there, because after the first coat there was almost nothing on the nail.

But the final look is so pretty!
I have been told this is a cheap version of Deborah Lipmann's Glitter in the Air.

Stash post - Dior

Since you so liked my first stash post, I thought I'd show you my Dior stash. It's not so big as the Essie stash, but hey Dior polishes are like 3 times the price of an Essie.

Dior polishes are my favourite among all the high end polishes. I have about 3 Chanels but I don't find them that good, the brush is way too thin, and the polish does not last that much.

Dior on the other hand has a wide brush, is very resistant, and the colors are at times very original.
Here are the photos:
Timeless Gold, Or tzarine, Shadoq, Purple Mix, Blue Label, St. Tropez, Nirvana, Aloha, The rock coat

St Tropez is a limited edition polish, from this summer, that I searched for a long time for. It was only sold in some retail shops, I found mine at the Galleries Lafayette.

The Rock coat is a top coat, that turns every polish  into a darker version of themselves.
You can find swatches if you click on the Dior tag on the side bar on the right.

Dior - Shadow

This is a part of their "Les violets hypnotiques" collection. It was the only color I found original from the trio, so I only bought this one.

It is a dark purple cream base, with subtle but not invisible pink and mauve shimmer I would say.

I used two coats for this and I can say I really love it. I already tried it a few weeks back but forgot to take pictures. I really loved it, and found it very resistant, I wore it for like 3 days with no chips, and it didn't even wear out.

So yeah don't regret this purchase, very pretty and original color.

In this photo I added a coat of Sally Hansen Set the Stage

BB Couture - Sea of Cortez

Hey everyone!
I tried my first nail polish from all of my birthday gifts so this one was winking at me!
It's a blue jelly base packed with blue flecks and from what I can tell green ones too!

Goodie!
It took three coats to get it opaque, due to the very transparent base. It dries a bit rough, but one coat of Seche vite fixed that right up!

It looks darker on the nail than in the bottle, but it is amazing and I don't own anything like it. I have never tried BB Couture polishes before, because I find them very expensive, and the delivery is also steep. But my friend Cristina got these for my barfday and I thank her very very much.

I got lucky and had some sun today too! Look at these photos!Isn't it amazing? Don't you loooooove it?

Some birthday presents

Hey everyone!
Sorry I couldn't post my camera was away in Martinique with my husband!
So I couldn't tell you that for my birthday which was the 22nd of february, I got some great presents from my friends.
I won a giveaway on Carolina's blog coincidentaly around my birthday so I consider this a birthday gift too. I won two Revlon polishes but she is such a nice person, and sent me one more, that she knew I loved too - a sinfull colors.

Look how pretty they are!! Can't wait to try them now that I got my camera back.
Thank you Carolina!!!

Next is a present I got from my friend Dora in Italy! They sell Layla polishes over there and I asked her to get me some, and she offered them to me as a gift for my birthday!
These have the prettiest shimmer in them. And are a lot bigger than I imagined. I am duying to try these out too. They are my first Layla's.
Thank you Dora!!

Another gift I got from my friend Ange back in Romania is this CK polish that is actually super pretty but you can't really see it in the picture. It's a bit duochrome also. There on the left you can kind of see the green in it.

Thank you Ange!!

Next is a present from my friend Cristina in Toulouse. She offered me my first BB Couture polishes! I love them both and I can't wait to try them.

One is BB Couture for Men, and one from the womand line.
Thank you Cristina!!

And I made myself some presents too:
These are Black polka dots and Gem

Dior Shadow
So that is about it!
Thanx for watching!
 HAppy mother's day!

And I leave you with a photo my husband took in Martinique.

Naked palette Urban Decay - review

I know you've probably seen this like a million times before, but you will see my version too.
I bought this a while back, and I didn't do a review. It is one of the best sellers in this type of product, and I get why. The palette has very nice and natural colors and every lady can find it's hapiness in it.

It contains 12 colors, and goes from very light to very dark brown toned eye shadows. It has two highlighters, one color that can be used as eye liner, and lots of other eye shadows.

I like it because I can use almost every color in it, and the pigments are just right on almost each color. There are one or two colors that have some glitter in it, that kind of falls of the lid, but that's not in every one of them.

The palette came with a brush that I really love, it's a flat brush for applying eye shadow. I already had one, but hey this one is usefull too. One thing I hate about it is the exterieur lining, it's made of this material that picks up every bit of filth it finds, so even your fingers can make it dirty. I really wish they could have covered it in something else. But I think this is the thing everyone complains about.

All in all I consider it a good palette and worth the price it was 32€ for 12 colors, that is 2.67€/color so much cheapper than buying one only. If you like to put on make up every day this is defenitly a good investement. I don't own the new one, but I think I would rather have bought that one, if it was out when I got mine.

Here are the photos:
