OPI - Here today Aragone tomorrow & Kiko 228

Hey you guys!!
How are your?

I wore my Essie for like 3 days, had some chips, so I took it off in favor of this OPI, that I ordered on Transdesign before they stopped selling this brand, which saddens me greatly, because this was the last site that still sold these. Now I will have to buy them on ebay, or in Sephora for a wapping 14€ a bottle.

I am glad I did stock up on some basics, before it was gone forever.

This is a jelly dark green, it was opaque in 2 coats, and the formula is a bit runny, but great for me.

I applied a coat of Kiko 228 on top, which is a transparent base, and small white shimmer.

Bonus a photo of Mumu on his daddy's legs. Feeling happy and sleepy.

Wet'n'Wild Comfort zone palette

I just received this palette I ordered on Nonpareilboutique - love this site this is the only way I can have palettes like this in France.

These cost 5.5$ and they're worth every penny and more. These are very good quality eyeshadows and come in all sorts of shades.

I chose Comfort Zone because it goes well on my skin tone.

Here are the photos:

I just love the one up on the left . It's my favourite

I also ordered two Nyx jumbo pencils one in Cottage Cheese and the other in Strawberry Milk. I really don't know what to do with these, I bought them to use as eye make up base, but I find them too thick.

And this is a little make up I did using some of the shades in the palette

I know I don't have excellent make up skills but hey, I try!

Tell me about your palettes, what do you recommend?

Feature in Become's.com Best of the Web

Hello there!
How have you been doing?

I just wanted to give a shout out to a very helpfull site become.com. They have me featured in their Best of the Web article on nail polish bloggers.
I am very flattered they chose me, since there are such a big number of other great polish bloggers that are way better than me.

There are also other blogs like Posh for Polish, which I already knew and love, and My nail polish online which I find that has very original photos. But I have also discovered a new series of nail blogs, that I didn't know like Mirannie's Nails and Konad Addict , Lanae Nails,  Polish and Charms and Holly and Polish

So please stop by the Best of the Web and check it out. http://pocketchange.become.com/2012/01/best-of-the-web-style-blogs-of-the-week-no-63.html

Pink Wednesday is back with Esssie Lady Like

It's been a while ha?
As tomorrow I'm going to the office I thought I should change my nail polish into something more work appropriate. So this is what I chose. This is part of the Carry on collection.

There's not much to say, it's just a dusty cream pink.

This was 2 coats:

And another thing I recently bought is a Mac lipstick. I really wanted the Paul&Joe catpaw lipstick in Catwalk but I thought 22€ was a bit too much. So I found this one that was close to it - basically I wanted a coral orangy pink lipstick. I watched some reviews on youtube and this one looked like it was what I was looking for.

So here it is:

And this is the lipstick in action (sorry about the crappy pictures but I've never taken pictures of my face).

Artificial light

Natural light
I like the lipstick, it's pretty creamy, but the smell ..... leaves a lot to be desired. I think that amongst all the lipsticks I've tried, Mac lipsticks smell the worst. I don't know why all the hype about these. It smells like it's expired, and I've checked, it's not, and it's not the first Mac lipstick I buy and they all smell the same. Maybe it's just me. Do any of you feel this way?

Happy new year - better late than never

Hey everyone. I really don't know what to say here. I know I said I would take a break and I am, because I really need it, but I kinda miss blogging, and having this kind of contact with everyone. So I've decided to come back slowly and at my own pace.

From now on this blog is going to be about everything. Not only about polish, but mostly centered around it.
I am going to try to put less pressure on myself about blogging, and maybe this way it will become fun again.

So what have you been up to these past few months.
I've had some hard times, some good times, and some really nice Christmas presents.

I got this amazing Yves Saint Laurent Arty ring from my father in law, which I absolutely love, and have been dreaming of for some time now.

On my nails I am wearing Color Club Alter Ego. It's a brown shimmer mixed with violet shimmer. And this comes out as a metal gun color.

The photos are not great because we've had no sunlight for a while now.
