Jail bars

Hello people!!
Yet another day in the life of a polish freak. I am going through my favourite polishes at the moment, and wearing them with a lot of pleasure.I am now wearing my favourite dark burgundy Zoya Anja, a very good formula, and gorgeous color, almost a one coater.

I applied on my middle finger a coat of Kleancolor Salsa much, and then stamped a design from my Bundle Monster plate BM 209 with Kiko 400.

I think it came out pretty ok, but not impressive.
Anyway here are the photos, hope you like it: Sorry for the crappy hand pose, this is my right hand which normally takes the photos, but since on my left hand I messed up the design......

KIKO 390 1 Kleancolor 197

Hello my pretties!!
As you may have seen in my IG post from yesterday I had a green polish on my nails some days ago. Well that polish was KIKO 390, that I picked up at their store a while ago.

It is a green polish, with white frost in it, but very subtle, it isn't the ugly type. I really liked it in the bottle, and on my nails, it was a bit bla, because my skin tone does not appreciate all green nailpolish.

This one is a good formula, it was opaque in two coats, and the color went on smoothly. But all kikos have good formula, we've all noticed that.

I added a coat of Kleancolor 197 which is a holo, and burgundy glitter, in a small round shape. I reall didn't think much of this one at the begining, but I noticed that it goes well on most colors, and I am starting to love it, but the thing with these polishes is the odour. It stincks.

Here are the photos:

Kiko stuff

Sorry about the abscence but I've been really busy. We have started buying stuff for our new appartement and taking it there, so we are going to be renovating soon, and my posts will be scarce for a few weeks.

This is not even a polish post, because I have not had the time to do my nails. I did however go by the Kiko store because they have put out a limited edition line - Chic Chalet, and I had to have one of their palettes I saw on this blog
So along with this four eye shadow palette I bought a few nail polishes, and an eyeliner. Now all their normal line is at 2,5€ all the time, and the limited edition ones are at 4,90€.

The new collection also has 6 new nail polishes, I did not like them that much so I only bought one which I will be showing you soon. The caps on these are golden, a detail that I do not like either. The palette I bought is called Unexpected Rosy Taupe, and I really like it. This retails for 12,9€.

I also bought an eye liner for 6,9€.

What I like about this brand is that it is affordable, and still better quality than L'Oreal, but cheapper. All their products come in boxes, just like the most expensive brands, except for the nail polishes.

So here are now the photos.

The products in their boxes

These swatches are not quite appropriate of the colors, but it is the closest I could get. Sorry about the scratches on my hand it's Mumu's fault

I like the texture of the eye shadows and I definitely think this is worth buying. The swatches are done on my bare hand.

And so I don't leave you high and dry, here are some photos of China Glaze Pool Party covered in Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlett, back when I still had long nails.

Flormar 004+Kleancolor Aurora

This Flormar was the biggest dissapointement ever. The polish was very liquid and had no trace of the blue shimmer I saw in the bottle. I don't know if it's noticable on the photos.

It was very hard to get opaque, this is three coats and still has some VNL, and when I finally applied my top coat I experienced the worst shrinkage ever!!
So overall this polish sucks !! Don't buy it!!

On top I added a coat of Kleancolors Aurorawhich is the cuttest combination of small duochromed glitter, with bigger hex duochromed glitter, and little pink stars in it. The glitter color varies from pink to green, and the base is transparent. As all the other polishes from this brand it smells really badly.

This was two coats of this glitter, and I had to arrange the stars this way, so I can get an even number on each of my nails. And this one too is very thick.

China Glaze - Urban night

The second polish I tried from my swap with Carolina is this one, and it is also part of the latest China Glaze collection Metro. So I was pretty excited to have one of these new polishes since I failed to order any on the internet.
This one is a beautiful dark purple cream, looks a lot like Honk if you love OPI from the touring America collection whose swatch you can find here
I loved the way it looked all by itself, but you know me I had to add something so I added Kleancolor - Chuncky Holo Fuchsia which is a fuchsia transparent base, with duochrome small round glitter.
And on top I added a matte top coat from Essence.

Pink Wednesday - Essie - Neo whimsical & Kleancolor Winter Wonderland

Hello Hello!!
Vacation is getting close, I  can't wait. We are going back to my country Romania - I miss it so much every day, and one week in Greece on the isle of Kos I love Greece too!!
So I am super excited, I've been working so hard, and I've had enough of it!!
Today's pink Wednesday is a polish I won in Karen's giveaway - Thank you Karen!!
It's a kind of dusty pink cream. This is two coats. The application is wonderfull as always, and the formula is great too.
The color doesn't suit me that much though. I added a coat of Kleancolor Winter Wonderland on top, which is a white shimmer base with small round multicolored glitter. This is a great polish to layer!! I love love love it, it goes well on any color.
It still stincks but I think this far this is my favorite Kleancolor glitter.
Check out the crappy photos:

Catrice - Hip Queens wear blue jeans! + Kleancolor Disco ball

Oh I have lots to say about these two...
Catrice is a brand I hadn't used until my trips to Lausanne, were I stumbled upon Coop supermarkets and found they carried Catrice, Essence and lots of other goodies.
I bought this one because of it's subtle little blue glitter.
It's a dark blue cream base, with very small blue glitter, it is similar to Mavala Smokey blue that I swatched way back here but it's not an amazing swatch. Be sure to click on the images because they are really huge and back then I hadn't quite gotten the hang of blogging.
I will do a comparison soon, and maybe even a reswatch of that Mavala, because those pictures don't do it justice.
Anyways like all Catrices this one is great too, application is easy, and formula is good. I applied two coats for full opacity.
On top I added Kleancolor Disco ball which is a clear base with blue and purple glitter. The formula on this one is ok too, the glitter spread evenly without any effort from my part unlike other Kleancolor glitters. This was only one coat, and as you already know by now, this polish stincks too.
I made a mistake though, after applying the polish, seeing that it was rather late in the evening, I went to bed, and  in morning woke up to find that my polish had some subtle scratches, and I had not taken photos right after the application. So that's why it looks a bit gritty and normally it is shinnier than what you see on the photos.

Mumu is falling asleep on the couch. Such a couch patato!

KIKO 338 + Kleancolor Siler lining

I promise I will stop with the Kikos.
This one is a lanvender colored cream polish. This was 2 coats and application was smooth, formula is great, but I think it need to dry a bit off before applying the top coat, because I didn't wait at all and had some shrinkage.
But everything is just great with this polish.
I don't think it looks that good on me, but it is a great color.
I added a coat of Kleancolor Silver lining which is a transparent base, with small silver glitter, and larger hex violet glitter.
I love the way these look together, and this glitter is amazing, it wasn't thick as the other ones, but it still stincks.
Anyways here are the photos, and again sorry for the lighting:

Kiko 343 & Kleancolor Twinkly love

My camera had a total freak out when it saw this color, so the real color is a bit more electric than what you see on the screen, but since I can't work Photoshop because I suck at it, I left them like they were.
This is a bright green cream, that applied really well and opaque in two coats.
Kikos are really awesome, see how they shine !!!
And on top I added one of my Kleancolors - Twinkly love. This one is a clear base with different sized and colored hearts in it. But the formula is really thick, and I had a hard time getting some hearts on each nail. And all of these Kleancolors really stink, but literally stink.
So here is the result: now as I have said before we are having a really crappy time here and there is no sunshine at all so sorry but these are all under artificial light, or natural light.
