L'Oreal Rouge pin up

Today I have for you a classic red, there's nothing special about this one, but I love red and always will, and think this is a classic, and goes well with every outfit.

I had to go to a wedding this weekend, so I thought I'd take off my blue L'Oreal and put on something more weddingy!

This was an easy application, and it was opaque in two coats. It is very shinny, and I love this kind of red. It lasted very well for about 5 days, no chips, just some tip wear. The photos are taken before I took it off.

I am very pleased with these polishes. And before I took it off I applied on one hand China Glaze Luxe and Lush, and on the other Max Factor - fantasy Fire.

We are having little sun these days here, so the photos are kind of crap.

L'oreal - Perle de Jade & Easy Nail art

I was at Auchan the other day and saw these on the counter, and also noticed they were 1€ cheaper than in Monoprix, so 6€. I love the bottles and find the colors really pretty so I chose two more.

This one is a mint green cream, really beautiful color, and I find it very summery!
It went on kind of streaky on the first coat, but the second coat fixed everything, and made it opaque.

There is not much else to say about it, I have already reviewed this brand her
I think this color is part of their summer collection, along with some lipglosses, but since I don't really care for lipglosses ( I'm more of a lipstick gal), I bought only this color.

Since I don't have much time on my hands, I thgouht I'd do an easy nail art, with my dotting tools. This is a manicure that's been going around the Polish world. All you need is a dotting tool, or a toothpick, and the nailpolish of your choice.

Here are the photos:
The nailpolish in natural light, no sunlight

This is the nailpolish, in the sunlight

These are my dotting tools bought on Transdesign.com

And this is my very easy nail art.

L'oreal - Rebel blue n°610

This is the other L'oreal polish I was telling you about yesterday. It's a strong blue, with blue shimmer inside.
This one was a one coater, but I chose to add another. I found it a bit more goowy than the other one, but still had no troubles on the application.

The shimmer in this is very visible in sunlight, less in the shadow, but it is still there.
I love the color, and a blogger colegue Mihaela from Romania, told me these are on sale at DM, for 9 lei. So I will buy more when I go there, because that is like 2€, so you can see the difference  France 7€ because we can, and Romania 2€.

L'oreal -Cosmic Green n°807

Ever since these came out I've wanted to try them. These are a Monoprix exclusive I think, because I haven't seen these anywhere else.

This is kind of the low cost nail polish from L'oreal. I love them, small little bottles of all colors it's like a rainbow!! Just look at them:
Je crois que c'est le gamme de vernis low cost de chez L'oreal. Je les adore, des petites bouteilles de toutes les couleurs comme un arc-en-ciel!! Regardez:

But I do find them a bit expensive even for a low cost brand, they're 7€ a 5ml bottle, it's actually more expensive than OPI bottles because those are 14€ for 15ml. The comparison is made between prices here in France. If you make a small calculus 7€/5=1.4€/ml, and if we want to see how much a full bottle would cost 1.4€*15=21€!!!!! That's the price of a Chanel nail polish or Dior!!!

So I bought 2 nail polishes from Monoprix, with 10% off, for testing. The first one I am going to introduce to you is Cosmic Green. It's a scarab green, so a duochrome. It goes from green to yellow depending on the light.

This was two coats, and it applied a little streaky. Otherwise the application was pretty good I love the brush!!

From what I can tell it is very good quality, hasn't chipped hasn't worn and I have been wearing it for 3 days. It does not shrink with Seche vite either. And here are the photos:
De ce que je me rend compte jusqu'à maintenant le vernis est de bonne qualité cela n'as pas écaillé et ni usé au bout des ongles, depuis 3 jours que je le porte. Et cela n'as pas rétréci avec Seche vite non plus, donc c'est un plus pour moi.  Et voici les photos:

This months favourites

I got a lot of stuff with the 20% off promotions from Sephora, and some of them are now my favourite products.

The first thing on the list is the gel eyeliner. It has never been so easy to put on a straight line. It's been a revelation. Don't know why I insisted in using my stupid liquid eyeliner - I never got a straight line. I also bought a liner brush from mac, and it's just perfect. It's the number 210

Another thing that I am just crazy about is the Clarins Ombre Minerale 4 couleurs in number 5 Violet. It's the perfect violet palette - love every color. This comes in a beautiful red case. It's got a nice little detail C on the side, and inside has two small applicators, a wide one, and a pointy one ( not really necessary to me since I use brushes, but for those who do .....) and of course the 4 colors.

I also bought the blackest black khol liner I've ever seen - and that is the 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Perversion. It's waterproof, but it actually comes off easily with a normal make up remover. So very happy about that one too.

Just look at that black!
I bought a Dior blush, since I've never had one and it looked so cute. It's got two sides, one with a pinkish color, and the other with the peachy glow. It comes with its own brush, that I don't use, because I've got a huge Sephora blush brush.

I fell in love with this Nars eye shadow in Ondine:

And last but not least my eye pencil from L'oreal. I love their pencils, they have really pretty colors.

Make up with my new Sigma brushes

I got some new brushes from Sigma a few days ago and thought I'd try them out.

The first one, and the most important one because I will use it everyday, is the one for foundation F80, it's got nice soft bristles, and it works very well, the foundation looks very natural when applied with this brush. I am very happy with this purchase. It was 16$ and I think the delivery to France was about 8$.

Along with this one I also bought the E30, which is a small blending brush, that I bought for blending in the crease, because my other blending brush is way too big. I am very happy with this one too, and it was 9$. I think these are just as good as the MAC brushes and a lot cheapper, I remember I payed for my MAC 217 blending brush 24€.

On to the make up I did. I always put a moisturiser on before applying the make up, around the eyes I use Clarins anti-rides, and on the face Avene Yysthéal+ Anti-rides.

After I apply my foundation, which is Make up Forever HD high definition foundation. I really love this! I have used other foundations, but I always come back to this one, because it is light, and doesn't make my face look like I have tons of make up on, providing in the same time good coverage.

Around the eyes I am currently using MAC concealler Studio FPS 35. I am not really into this one, but I bought it and I have to finish it. I find it too thick, and noticeble under my eyes. I previously had HD from Make up forever, but that one is extremely expensive for 2 ml. But I was super happy with it. This one has 7gr so that's a plus, but the product is not as good.

To fix this in place I use compact powder. I prefer compact, because loose is well loose, and I always find myself cleaning up afterwards. At the moment I am using Benefit Get Even. It's ok, but I think I should have bought a different color. I have a very light skin and usually buy the lightest shade in foundation, powder etc.

Then I proceed with the eyes, I always use a primer and I prefer Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It is the best, the shadow does not move throughout the day, and it is easy to work with.

The eyeshadow I used was Wet'n'Wild Knock on Wood. I ordered these on nonpareilboutique. These are super cheap and great quality, very soft, and well pigmented. I only used the bottom colors, because the browbone color is really too dark for me to use it as a highlighter. So the one in the middle was applied with the E30 brush.

As a highlighter I used this Rimmel:

The mascara I am using right now is Dior Extase, I fell in love with this one, and I am not letting it go.
And the eyeliner I used on my lower waterline, is a L'oreal pencil, but can't really tell you which color, because the name has dissapeared. I really love this pencil, I use it a lot.

So this is the finished look:
