Layla Ceramic Effect n°16

This is one of the nailpolishes that my friend Dora sent me from Italy, and I must say I love it!!

The color is not so flattering on me, but it is such a good quality nailpolish, it lasted for like 4 days on me, without chips or any tipwear, and on the forth day I took it off, because I wanted to change, not because it had suffered an accident, so I reccomend these for sure.

I think that they retail at 7€ in Italy, but I am not sure about that. I have another one of these, and I think it was the same quality.
This is a light gray cream with pink shimmer in it, that comes out nicely in the sunlight.

 It only needed two coats for full coverage, and the application was pretty easy too.

I like the brush too, and it is kind of heavy like the OPI one.

Seventeen cosmetics - 509

I don't know if any of you know this brand, but it is a very well known one back home in Romania. The products are good quality and the prices are not that high.

On my summer vacation I brought some stuff from home, and among them was this Seventeen nailpolish. These cost 18 RON there the equivalent of around 4€. The bottles are pretty large 15ml, and they have a huge range of colors. The colors don't have names only numbers. That doesn't bother me that much, as long as the polish is good. And I find these to be very good.

The color I bought is a dark gray with multicolored shimmer. The brush is good, kind of like the Essie brushes, the application was excellent, formula very good, just the right consistancy, and it only took two coats for full coverage.

I stamped on a design from my BM 206 plate with the Kiko 400 that is the holo gray which is by the way very good for stamping.

KIKO 400

I saw these on Sam's blog and I had to go get a look at them. Kiko released a limited edition collection called Lavish Oriental. It includes 4 new holographic nailpolishes e dark gray one, a pink one, a beige one and a green one.

I only bought the dark gray one, because I think I have enough holo polishes, and I rarely ever use them, because we lack sun here.They cost 4,90€ in all Kiko stores.

Ok so this applies pretty good, I like the brushes as you know, the bottles are square just they way I like them, but on these limited editions the caps are golden, which I don't particularly enjoy, but that's just a little detail.

Kiko 400 is a linear holo I would say, opaque in two coats, goes on pretty well even on the first coat, had no problem applying it over a normal base coat.

I took a lot of photos, because it's just gorgeous in the sun.
I philed my nails down a bit, they were getting kind of wonky. What do you think? I love it! The holo is super obvious.

Essie Smokin' Hot & Nubar - Black polka dot

This is one of the Essie I got when I saw they dropped the prices to 4$ on Transdesign.
It is a cream dark grey colors with hints of purple. It is opaque in two coats, and the formula on mine was a bit thick. And I got some chips on the second day. Kind of dissapointed, but don't know if it's my nails, because lately everything chips on me.

I saw this other one on Nailstah, it was the prettiest glitter I had ever seen - I am talkin,g about the Nubar now, so I had to have it. It's a transparent base, with small black round glitter, and medium hex black glitter.What you see in the pictures is one coat.

I am loving this Nubar, and I will surelly use it on other occasions, it rocks!
Sorry the photos aren't excellent, but I am still ajusting and can't really find a good spot in my new appartement to take good photos. 

Essie - Fair Game

The next polish I tried from the Resort collection is this one, which is a bit hard to describe.

It is a gray blueish cream base with a silver shimmer in it, that turns a bit green in artificial light.

I did not think I would like this so much, it looked much more ordinary in the bottle, but when on my nails, it got so much more dimensions.

Application and formula is just great, I used two coats for this look. I am loving Essie more and more, I think that if they had OPI brushes I would declare this as my favourite brand, but for now OPI is in a tie with Essie.

At first I thought that Essie was mostly about work appropriate colors, but this is proving me wrong. Here are the photos:

Essie - Chinchilly

This was another great lemming for me, that Karen killed when I won her giveaway.
This is a grey cream that looks a bit brownish too.
I love the formula of these Essies!! and the application is so good too. I applied 3 coats, because I thought I still saw bald spots after 2 coats. But the bright side is, that even after 3 coats it did not shrink with Seche vite.
On top I applied a design from my BM 208 with a silver Flormar polish.

Andrea Fullerton - Mischa

This is a real gem, I found it in London, and it is such a unique polish. This is an English brand I think, it retails for 5£ and the bottles are 5.5ml. So it's pretty expensive, but in small quantities it's ok.
I have to say that the polish scene is much more develloped in England, I saw LA colors, Barry M, the new Revlon collection was already out there and they had an offer at Boots 2 for 8£, so much cheapper than here - 12€. Barry M retail for 2,5£. Here the cheapest polish you can find are Kiko - 4€.
So - the polish - It is a dark blue, nearly gray jelly, full of blue and golden shimmer.
It takes 2 coats to get it opaque but I put on 3, that way I got more shimmer, but I think that finally there wasn't much difference between 2  and 3 coats .
This color is not so flattering on my skintone, but it is soooooo prettyyyy. So looksie!! click to enlarge so you can see the shimmer wonderfulness!!

OPI Not like the movies - half moon mani & Last friday night

I finally decided to buy the Katy Perry collection, although I wasn't so excited about it at first. I still am not, but I guess I will regret not having these later.
The first one I am going to show you is Not like the movies - I think I got the other version of this polish, because I barely saw any pink in it - it's a gray metallic shimmer polish, with small silver glitter, the duochrome is very subtle, I couldn't capture it in my photos, and the green isn't that obvious either.
So since grays are not my favorite, I thought I'd spice it up and add a little color, so I did a half moon mani with OPI DS Extravagance. This is 3 coats. So these are the photo:

The second one I tried and like even less is Last Friday night - this is a subtle blue base with blue glitter in different sizes. I think that this is one of the polishes I like least in my whole collection. It makes my finger nails look like they are the nails of a zombie.
This is most surely better for layering. This is two coats. Oh and the removal was an absolute pain.

 

And last but not least yesterday Mumu was on his pillow on the chair, and the pillow fell down with him, and so he decided it was just as good on the floor as on the chair. So here he is cleaning himself. He's very clean, he washes himself like 3h/day.
