Cristina does nails - OPI - Dulce de leche

Cristina did this post for me, I think it's a lovely combo so here it is.

"Opi Dulce de Leche is not a new kid in town; everybody knows this polish since forever. I don't know if it is part of a collection or it's just an Opi Classic.

Anyways, for this polish, the first word that crosses my mind when I think about it is: "work-appropriate". It’s true, I use it mostly during the work days, this is why I actually bought in the first place.

It's a very nice polish, yet I couldn’t say it’s a “WOW!” thing to me.

I’d describe the colour as a neutral nude-like pink, with a hint of yellow. I think the name describes it very well!

A little streaky on the first coat, but everything gets better with the 2nd one. And we can happily stop here, because it is opaque in 2 coats.

What I don’t like about this polish is the drying time… and would say it’s loooong. This is why I was so happy about the “opaque in 2 coats” stuff... I tried it on once without any top coat (I was “out of stock” :D ), and even after 2 hours, it was not completely dry… So, you can easily imagine the nightmare if 3 or 4 coats would be necessary! :D

Seche Vite is highly recommended here. Very good wear though.

This is 2 coats of Opi Dulce de Leche and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Today it's Friday, and I thought that I could get a little audacious just beacuse it's Friday :) and put on some glitter, even if I am going to work!

One coat of Nfu Oh 49 over the previous manicure + one coat of Seche Vite over all.

Here are the results:

I think it came out pretty nice! What do you think?"

I love it with the Nfu-oh over it, even by itself it is a great polish, a little demure, but still great.

Some konading

I decided today to try my new konad plates. I bought this from chezdelaney, because I've been seeing these lovelly patterns over at Carolina like clouds and other well known ones. So here are the little clouds on my fingers. he problem is that I have very small fingernails so it always goes more on the skin than on the nail. The base is China Glaze Ingrid, and the clouds are China glaze Bare if you dare and Flormar 390.
It turned out like an army jacket more than clouds at the end, but oh well!!

CND - Asphalt

My one and only CND polish is Asphalt. I really like this one because it is opaque in one coat. So it makes it easy to work with, if you want to add effects. I added here Jade Sparkle. Asphalt is a cream dark gray, the formula is a bit thick, but I had no problem applying it, and I guess this is why it is opaque in only one coat. I have also ordered their Valentines gift set which was love at first site for me - it contains a colour - just red and an effect - Red sparckle. Can't wait to receive it and show it to you guys.
So here are the photos, no top coat.

I also applied a coat of matte finish and loved the way it came out.

Zoya - Harlow

And the last Zoya I own and my favourite is a matte violet glitter. When I bought it I didn't even know it was matte, I thought it would be a cream, at the time I didn't know that Zoya had different bottles for matte polishes.
This is two coats, you have to be very carefull when you put this on, fast because otherwise it dries off wierdly.
I also did a konad design from my new chez-delaney plate H9 with Flormar 390.

Oh wow!!! Stylish blogger award

I just got tagged by Danielle from Polish Obsessed. Thank you so much Danielle!! I really love her blog and the shape of her nails. I find that the photos she takes of the polishes are very accurate.
So when you get tagged you are supposed to do the following:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award

So 7 things about me. There is not so much to say.
1. I adore my husband and he is the most important thing in the world to me.
2. I am very loyal to my family, friends and to everyone who does me good.
3. When I was a little girl I thought that people lived for only ten years.
4. My cat speaks monkey, dog, and pigeon.
5. I like asking stupid questions, which bothers my husband.
6. I hate massages.
7. I crack my knucles and ennoy lots of people with that.

And the bloggers I chose to tag are:
8. Colores de Carol although she has been already tagged
9. Sonidlo who I think has already been tagged too
This is my list. They are not all recently discovered.

Elisabeth Arden - Greenwich Grapevine

I bought this on this blog sale for only 4$. I love it, but it absolutely stinks. As long as you don't smell it, everything will be ok.
Here are the photos - 2 coats

Merci Ange de nouveau

This is the second part of my Christmas gift from Ange - my childhood friend OPI - A oui bit of ref. It's a very pretty, king of flashy red, with a bit of subtle rosey shimmer.
As usual opaque in 2 coats, dries off super fast, and have I said this before??? love their brushes!!!!
Here are the photos.

See the pretty shimmer in the sunlight?

Essie - Merino Cool

This is the last of my Essie haul, and I must say I like it. Although I didn't have the time to enjoy it because I had to take it off too soon, I had the time to take some pictures and even add a CND effect. It was just like the other Essies, very good quality polish, the formula is excellent, applies great and dries off super fast. This is two coats, and the last photos are with a top coat of CND's violet Shimmer.

Avon - Golden Twilight

So , hey!! Like I told you I have a sort of a dupe for Dior - Or Tsarine - here it is, there is a subtle difference between them, the Avon has also bronze shimmer in it, aside from the gold shimmer.
I actually think I like the Avon better. The brush on the Avon is just great, I think this is the only one to my taste excepting OPI. And also the Avon dries off super fast - I don't know if it's because of the shimmer or what but these two were amazing in terms of drying speed.
Here are the photos - 2 coats.

And here are the comparison photos to the left is the Dior and to the right is the Avon. As you cand see Avon is darker.
